Equity in Learning Spaces
Our vision is simple: equitable learning experiences for all. Freedom Writes is an education company designed with the identities of Black and Brown students in mind. Our mission is to create equitable educational experiences for all students, especially BIPOC students who have traditionally been underserved in PK-12 learning spaces. We support educators in a) creating equitable learning experiences for all students, b) implementing identity-based programming, and c) using an intersectional lens to inform pedagogical practices. We accomplish this through curriculum auditing and development, out-of-school time programming, and professional development and coaching.
